This 24-page book is part of a Real Life Stories series that was published specifically for American school libraries. I followed a detailed template and had to create text to fit a certain reading level. It describes the difficult covered-wagon journey to the American west. The central spread features an annotated photograph of a covered wagon. I really enjoyed researching quotations from pioneers to use in the book. You can access the full text for this book here.
